OASIS HAS GOT TALENT!!!

We’re really looking forward to the Oasis ‘Big Weekender’ from Friday 2nd Oct to Sun 4th October where we’ll be celebrating the 10th birthday of Oasis Church. Hopefully by now you will be up to speed with all the events that are going on that weekend. Remember to check the web site for details and grab some fliers to use as invitations!
One of the activities we’ll be running on Sunday 4th after the morning meeting, and after we’ve enjoyed our birthday lunch together, is “Oasis has got Talent!” This is an opportunity for you to perform whatever talent you think you have in front of a select panel of judges, and the adoring Oasis Church crowd! There is no age restriction and any talent will be considered!
If you’re interested in being part of this fun-filled event, please will you contact Gus or Jane Rosier (contact details to follow) with the following information:
1. Your name & contact details
2. Your age
3. Your ‘act’
4. Why you would like to be considered for the show!
Please note that we are expecting a number of interested parties, so we will probably have to choose a selection of acts from those provided in order to offer a nice, rounded show!
In order to maximise the number of acts we can include, however, please be aware that your act may not last any longer than 3 minutes (and of course might be less than that if you get ‘buzzed off’!!)
If you are a parent / guardian, please do talk to your kids and youth to see if they might be interested in participating, and also be aware that we will demonstrate the upmost sensitivity with all acts, and especially any younger acts. We are not about humiliating anyone with this event…it is all about fun!
Closing date for applications is Monday September 28th.
If you are successful, we will let you know by Thursday 1st October latest. If you are unsuccessful, please don’t be too disappointed if your act isn’t chosen to be part of the actual show…just come and enjoy those that have been!
