The Bridge and all connected with it have become like a new family to me which has set the foundation of all I achieved so far.
Without this chance... by now I would've either been back in prison, committing crime or even dead.
I now have hope of a life and good future ahead of me…the people here, both staff and residents, are teaching me how to live a life without drugs.
At Oasis we have a deep desire to respond to God’s call to care for the poor and to demonstrate…
…God’s heart for justice and mercy to those we come into contact with. Since the start of Oasis Church we have therefore run a number of initiatives which seek to care for people who find themselves needing support.
The Bridge:
The Bridge’s vision is to bring hope to those who have no hope, to see those who are currently pushed to the boundaries of our society being valued and empowered for life in the community, and to see people set free from limitations such as life-controlling addictions.
At the Bridge we offer help and acceptance to those in our community who are struggling with addictions to either drugs, alcohol or both.
We do this through a structured in-house recovery programme at both our 15-bed house in Moseley, and our 6-bed house in Balsall Heath. We support both men and women in an environment that is designed to encourage independence, build confidence and convey hope for the future.
We do this as an expression of our faith in a God who cares, rescues and brings freedom.

The well:
The well from Oasis church on Vimeo.
The Well is a peer support group for women around the time of childbirth (before and after the birth of a baby). This means that women get together to share their experiences and to support each other in their roles as mothers. The Well is about community and provides opportunity for women to talk about things that cannot necessarily talk about with anyone else, share problems and share solutions to those problems.
