Latest Funding News

We really appreciate you prayers on this ongoing funding situation, so the latest news will be put here as we receive it…

10th September 2010: At the end of July we were invited to put in some details as an application for one-off capital funding to the Birmingham Drug and Alcohol Action Team (DAAT).   We put in an application for two things – the costs of moving to and improving the new 6-bed Bordeshale House, and the costs of the alterations and kitting out of a new house we are planning for women.  We found out on 31st August that these funding bids had been successful and we had been awarded £80,000.  We have secured a further £5,000 since then towards the set up of the women’s house.  This is a great development and we may be able to use this capital funding to release more essential funds for our running costs.  We have a number of applications for funding pending for the new women’s work and the men’s houses as well.  Please continue to pray for the provision of funds for this work to continue.

15th June 2010: We received a letter yesterday regarding the Tudor Trust’s decision and, unfortunately, it was a negative one.  This is a down-heartening end result, but we are certain that God will provide for all that he is calling us to…it looks like it is just going to be via a different means!

Please pray with us that we will have clear direction as to what God is calling us to and for a certainty in our faith that God will provide for all that we need to do it.

7th June 2010: Since the last post below we were given further donations that got us to a point of making up the deficit created for the month of May by lost Supporting People funding… Excellent stuff and many thanks to all concerned!

We now know that our large funding application to the Tudor Trust is being considered in 2 days time on the 9th June, so your prayers would be very welcome indeed on that.  We are setting aside time to pray tomorrow as a team for this too.

21st May 2010: We have heard back from the ‘Tudor Trust’ and its not bad news…which is good.  The trust have requested more info, which we sent through yesterday, so we would expect to hear back within the next three weeks.  Please continue to pray for this big trust application.

We are also nearing our first month without ‘Supporting People’ funding in place (leaving a gap of roughly £10,000) and we are pleased to report that we have been given a total of £8,150 in donations and grants during the month so far, going a long way to making up this deficit.  We are very encouraged!
